Ketchup accounts for 30% of the company’s total global sales.
The company’s brand portfolio includes about 100 world famous names. The leading one is Heinz – ketchups and sauces.

Problems at Kraft Heinz
Problems have been haunting Kraft Heinz both in the global market and in some regional markets from 2017 to the present. In the United States, the top management of the company, in an attempt to overtake competitors in 2015-2018, carried out large-scale investments in marketing, product line and personnel. In a short-term distance, the company really managed to squeeze other manufacturers. Sales in 2017-2018 increased by 3%, but the price for such a minor victory was too high. The growth in sales could not even cover the investment costs in the long term.
At the end of 2017, and then in 2018 financial years, the company showed record losses of 12.1 billion US dollars, and the price of its shares at the moment fell by 25%. In addition, in the fall of 2018, the US financial regulator initiated an audit and imposed a fine on the company for incorrect accounting practices and concealment of losses.
For the United States, where stock price fluctuations usually do not exceed 2-3%, this was a disaster for the company’s management. Major rating agencies sharply downgraded the company’s credit rating, and its main beneficiary – well-known investor Warren Buffett – began to replace the company’s management.
The reason for the lingering failures in the US market, which is the company’s key market, was, first of all, a change in the dietary habits of Americans. More and more people, both in America and around the world, have begun to switch to healthy foods. And most of the Kraft Heinz products, despite their high quality, are considered not healthy for being excessively fatty and saturated with preservatives. The second reason for the problems was the company’s high debt burden. In pursuit of expansion, the management of the company collected loans, which became a serious burden for the entire business.
In 2019, sales of Kraft Heinz continued to fall, although the new management tried hard to change the situation. The changes affected the structure of the corporation, the number of personnel and the main parts of the expenditure side. At the end of 2019, the company showed the same loss – almost $14 billion.
Situation at Kraft Heinz in 2021
As of March 2021, the number of Kraft Heinz employees in the world is about 30-32 thousand people. But back in 2015, that number was about 43 thousand. The company annually laid off 2-3 thousand people all over the world, including USA and emerging markets with high sales potential. The company continues to struggle with declining global sales.
In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, most businesses had serious problems. Restaurants and cafes, which were major consumers of the company’s products, had to close their doors for 6-10 months. But consumption shifted from restaurants to kitchens in apartments and houses, and in general, Kraft Heinz sales grew and made a profit. At the beginning of 2021, the management and employees of Kraft Heinz, after a long difficult period, are looking to the future with optimism.

The standard test consists of 10-15 numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and abstract reasoning tests. There are usually 30-45 questions in the test. The SHL tests have a total time limit of 30-50 minutes for the entire test, and the Talent Q / Korn Ferry tests have a time limit for each question – usually 1 minute.

Situational judgement tests at Kraft Heinz
