PwC Online Aptitude Tests

Each candidate applying for PricewaterhouseCoopers jobs must pass the PwC assessment tests provided by CEB SHL.

In PwC, you must pass the following tests:

  • numerical reasoning tests
  • verbal reasoning tests
  • personality questionnaire or situational judgement tests
  • professional tests (accounting, tax, audit)
  • English language test
  • abstract reasoning tests (for IT departments)

The difficulty level of your aptitide tests will depend on the department and position level where you want to work, so be sure to carefully read all the information in the email from PwC with instructions on passing the tests that will be sent to you.

PwC Numerical Reasoning Tests

If a lot of time has passed since you studied math, don’t worry. You do not need to extract square roots and look for integrals. All you have to do is briefly repeat the principles of basic calculations, such as ratios, percentages, and data to read from charts. The only real difficulty with numerical tests at PwC and companies of the same level is that there is a strictly limited time limit for solving problems. Usually this is 60-90 seconds per 1 question.

You will have about a minute to answer each question. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you first prepare for such tests on our website. You need to take the largest possible number of practice tests; this way, you will get familiar with typical questions and strengthen your knowledge and confidence in successfully passing the numerical tests at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The main difficulty of PwC numerical tests is the stress and time limit, and not the lack of you knowledge or the complexity of the questions themselves. You need to learn how to manage your emotional state and prepare in the best way so that on the test itself you will be calm and confident.

PwC Verbal Reasoning Tests

Verbal reasoning tests are designed to assess how well a candidate is able to draw logical conclusions based on a text and to analyze whether statements are true, false or impossible for evaluation based on information given in a text.

The PwC verbal reasoning tests can be more difficult for people who have not previously seen similar questions. Our recommendation is to practice as many as possible verbal tests in order to understand their rules and specifics.

Like numerical, verbal tests for PricewaterhouseCoopers are developed by SHL. Learn more about SHL verbal tests in our articles in the Tests section.

PwC Abstract Reasoning Tests

Unlike other tests of knowledge or calculations, PwC abstract reasoning tests do not assess any specific field of knowledge, but are designed to assess your ability to abstract logical thinking in general. An abstract test usually consists in finding a logical rule behind a group of frames in order to determine what will happen next in the sequence.

The main difficulty of abstract reasoning test at PwC is that there is no limit to how abstract these patterns and trends can be: their size, location, order of movement and color of two and three-dimensional shapes.

Does it sound scary and incomprehensible? In fact, it is not as difficult as it seems. You just need to practice a few abstract reasoning test examples to understand them. See an example of the PricewaterhouseCoopers abstract reasoning test below. At Aptitude-Tests-Practice you will find a huge number of abstract reasoning tests that will help you to score high on any abstract tests in PwC.

Assessment Center PwC

A separate stage of the pre-employment process in PwC is an in-person assessment for candidates who have successfully passed the previous online testing and initial interview. In fact, this is another stage of computer testing, where you will need to once again pass a somewhat smaller amount of similar numerical, verbal and abstract tests under the control of HR agents of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
